What is furry? I am a furry, and a lot of people ask me what that means. It's a simple question, but hard to explain. Objectively, a furry can be defined as an anthropomorphic character; a human with animal characteristics of varying degrees. Obvious examples include Bugs Bunny, Tom & Jerry, etc. However, the personal definition of furry is very subjective and differs for most individuals. For me it focuses on two issues: Firstly, the appreciation of furry media, (anthropomorphic art and animation), and secondly, the involvement in a 'furry lifestyle'. This includes my furry persona, 'Kiroo', an anthropomorphic roleplay character I feel can associate and connect with. He allows me to express and explore areas of my personality in a furry context. This expression can take the form of an online role-playing, a daydream persona, or a simple moniker to be known as amongst friends.
